2024 Mini-Dachshund Dash
REGISTRATION IS OPEN 

MINI-DACHSHUND LOVERS!
 

Do you have a FAST doxie that LOVES to run!?

We are going to have our annual WIENER DOG RACES at the Victoria Pet Expo! 

 

The races will be held May 4 & 5, 2024 during the Pet Expo and they are going to be hilarious!

Race starts 2:30 PM Saturday & Sunday

 

Everyone is welcome to watch! If you are not racing your wiener…come help cheer on your favourite fast pup!

A signed animal waiver is mandatory for pet entry.

Please print and sign the animal waiver and bring it with you to gain entrance into the event.

2024 Registration is OPEN

  • 1st place winner on Saturday and Sunday receives Gift Basket and Pet Bucks to spend at the booths of your choice at the 2024 Victoria Pet Expo.

  • Dachshund registration is $15/dachshund/race plus gst (registration includes weekend pass for 2 humans).

 

  • Included in your Dachshund Dash entry is a weekend pass for two humans and a Swag bag.

 

  • Participation Certificate & Gift for all racers

 

  • Each individual wiener dog can ONLY win a 1st Place prize once throughout the weekend. Each wiener dog is encouraged to and can definitely race both Saturday and Sunday but if your wiener dog wins 1st Place on Saturday, they will not be allowed to win 1st Place on Sunday.

Pet at Expo Rules

  • All pets must be well-behaved (Owners must have control of my animal at all times during the course of the Victoria Pet Expo and will adhere to the rules, not only set by the Victoria Pet Expo but also the Victoria, BC Animal Bylaw regulations.)

 

  • All pets must have a signed Victoria Pet Expo Animal Waiver. Please print, sign and bring the Animal Waiver with you.

 

  • Pets must be on a 6' maximum standard leash and collar. (NO retractable or rope leashes permitted)

  • Please review safe pet greeting behaviors with your family before attending the show. Remind your family to always ask the owner’s permission to pet an animal, allow the pet to sniff their hands and then they should gently pet the animal’s chest, chin or back (not the top of its head), speaking calmly and quietly.

2024 Social Media Contest

  • Post an image/video of your Mini-Dachshund on Instagram or Facebook, letting everyone know you are entered into The Dachshund Dash!

  • Tag US @victoriapetexpo and use #yyjpets #VPE

  • WIN A PRIZE (we will be choosing one winner randomly from the entered photos on May 3, 2024
